Vanessa R. Jordan has been practicing law for more than a decade. Prior to starting her own law firm, Ms. Jordan practiced criminal and family law at a small firm in Northern Virginia.
Ms. Jordan earned her law degree from Howard University School of Law. Immediately after law school she joined the Office of the Public Defender in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where she was promoted to Senior Assistance Public Defender. As a Senior Assistant, Ms. Jordan was a supervising attorney for juvenile and domestic relations.
Ms. Jordan has a passion for criminal defense. She has significant experience representing adults and juveniles in both district and circuit court. Ms. Jordan handles routine traffic and driving matters, misdemeanor and felony probation violations, as well as major felonies. Her jury trial experience includes murder and manslaughter, larcenies, narcotics, violent crimes, major sex offenses, and child abuse and neglect cases. She has argued before the Court of Appeals of Virginia and the Virginia Supreme Court.
In addition to practicing criminal and family law, Ms. Jordan is also a certified Guardian Ad Litem for children.
